Make sure the currency is switched from USD to your own country’s currency before you pay.
Why this matters
Local payment methods appear. Options like MPESA, MTN MoMo, Telebirr, Fawry or CashPlus are tied to your local currency — if the page is set to USD, you may only be offered card payment.
Fewer declined payments. A USD charge is treated as an international transaction by many banks, which block these by default. Charges in your own currency go through your bank like any local purchase.
No surprise conversion fees. Paying in USD on a local card can attract foreign-exchange fees and a worse conversion rate from your bank. In your local currency, the amount you see is the amount you pay.
